Bio

Dr. Ripal D. Ranpara is a distinguished academic leader and researcher specializing in Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, and Ontology-driven Systems. A DAAD Fellow and one of India’s youngest awardees, she has represented the nation across universities in Germany, the Netherlands, and France. She serves as Executive Board Member of ACM2Y (USA), President of the ACM Task Force Committee, and National President of WICCI AI & ML R&D Council, advancing global and national research collaborations. With 30+ publications, 13 books, and multiple funded projects, Dr. Ranpara also supervises eight Ph.D. scholars and serves as Editor and Reviewer for Scopus and Web of Science journals. A recipient of several national awards, including the Best Woman in ICT Technology Award, she continues to lead with a vision to foster innovation, inclusivity, and global academic excellence.

She is also a distinguished member of the European Alliance for Innovation (EAI) and is actively involved in several other professional and academic societies, such as the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA), USA, and the Internet Society (ISOC), USA. In total, Dr. Ripal has more than 70 memberships and participates in over 18 working groups, reflecting her extensive involvement and commitment to the field of computer science.

    Role CoEditor Co- Editor: As a co-editor of the IEEE Future Network Technical Community (FNTC), I have been actively involved in collaborative research projects. Specifically, I have contributed to the 2022 Edition of the IEEE Future Networks International Network Generations Roadmap (INGR). The INGR is a living document that is updated annually to reflect the rapid advancements in the industry. In my role as a co-editor, I have worked with the 14 Working Groups of the INGR to explore the technologies and systems over different time periods, ranging from 3 to 10 years.

Government of Gujarat Hackathon Event Management Website: Designed and developed a web portal for Saurashtra University Department of Computer Science hackathon participants to register and manage their ideas on the portal.

Regional Level Event Management Website: Designed and developed an event management website that can manage the event records of over 200 students. The website can also generate reports for event coordinators.
Machine Learning for Text Mining using Ontology: In this project, I applied machine learning techniques to analyze and extract meaning from unstructured text data using an ontology-based approach. Using Python, I developed algorithms to identify relevant keywords, entities, and relationships within the text, and then mapped them onto a domain-specific ontology to better understand the underlying concepts. This allowed for more accurate and efficient analysis of large datasets, and could potentially be used for a wide range of applications such as sentiment analysis, document classification, and more.
